Using the facilitator dashboard's heat map can be an effective way to monitor, identify, and intervene with students who may be more socially isolated than others.
In order access the suggested data dashboards described below first log in and navigate to the Facilitator Dashboard.
Scrolling down, it is easy to quickly see which students have not received any thx notes by clicking on the 'Needs Attention' tab. Click a class name on one of the class cards to see this information for a specific class.
Next, click on 'Class Activity' to see a social heatmap of student activity.
Teachers use this to identify potentially socially isolated students and intervene. These are students who may have not received many thx notes in the past month or week. Their thx totals will be highlighted in red or yellow to draw attention to the low thx note numbers.
Some interventions to promote inclusion include Group Gratitude, New Gratitude, and Gratitude Wave practices. Be sure to anchor common gratitude practices like Group Gratitude or Partner Gratitude in existing class routines to ensure everyone gets some thx and can practice writing meaningful notes.
