Creating a Thx Note
Begin by logging into GiveThx using your your name and password. Then click on the "+ GiveThx" button at the top of your screen.
Automatically displayed will be everyone in their current class. Any of the names listed can be chosen. Users can only write one person at a time. This maximizes safety and increases sincerity by removing a broader audience (teachers, however, can monitor students).
To encourage the span of interactions, students have the choice to choose 'build a new connection' in the upper right hand corner. Selecting this option will then display three connections who the user has given very few or no thank you notes.
Or students can choose someone specific from their class or by searching for an individual.
Composing and Tagging a Thx Note
Once a person has been chosen, you can pre-select a skill you'd like to recognize in your thx notes. Several skills will be suggested. However, choose whichever makes the the most sense for your note.
Schools customize the skill bank tags to align to the values, behaviors, and skills they wish to recognize, reinforce, and monitor.
Review the suggested thx note template. This writing guide is meant to showcase a meaningful thx note structure, but is not required. When you’re ready to write, press ‘clear’.
Once 'clear' has been pressed type your note.
