Role, Dashboards, & Permissions

Learn about the different roles, which permissions you'll be able to access, and corresponding dashboards in GiveThx.

Various user roles can be assigned in GiveThx. Below are the four different roles a user can have. However, it is also possible to hold more than one role.

  1. Participant: This is a student view with the ability to send and receive Thx notes to students in your own class and any member of the staff class.

  2. Staff: In this role you can see all students as well as be seen by all students. Like Facilitators you can also participate in giving/receiving Thx notes, but cannot assign classes.

  3. Facilitator: In this role you are able to see all class activity, assign classes, as well as participate in giving/receiving Thx notes.

  4. Administrator: In this role you have school-wide ability to assign roles to all users, roster classes, as well as view your school's impact statistics. You can also be a Facilitator and Participant.

Depending on your role, you'll be able to create three main dashboard views, Participant Dashboard, the Facilitator Dashboard and the Administrator Dashboard. Each view includes several key features:

  • Participant Dashboard: This view allows students to send and receive notes from staff and students. It also provides the ability to reflect on their activity and complete assigned tasks. All users have this view.

  • Facilitator Dashboard: This view provides class-level activity. It includes the ability to monitor, coach and intervene within student activities.

  • Administrator Dashboard: This school wide view allows users to see connections and engagement between staff and students. It also include permission setting, activating and de-activating tags and school summary analytics.
